Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026 · Effective upon publication

Review draft. This proposed policy assumes ordinary social networking features. Actual data collection, service providers, advertising, security measures, and deletion functions must be verified before publication or store submission.

This Privacy Policy explains the proposed handling of personal information in connection with the Velu social networking application, its related websites, and associated services (the “Services”). References to “Velu,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of the Velu Services.

For support, privacy inquiries, or account deletion requests, email support@velu.com. This policy does not replace a separate disclosure, consent, or device permission required by law.

1. Information covered by this policy

Depending on the features available and the way you use the Services, relevant information may include:

  • Account and profile information: the name, username, email address, profile photograph, biography, and other registration or profile details you provide.
  • Content and activity: posts, photographs, videos, comments, reactions, follows, and associated information generated when you contribute content or interact with other users.
  • Communications: information in messages you send through a messaging feature, if offered, and information you provide when contacting support or reporting a concern.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, device and operating system information, application version, activity records, and diagnostic information used to operate and troubleshoot the Services.
  • Optional feature information: information supplied through a connected sign-in service, a permitted device feature, or a purchase or creator program, where that feature is offered and its collection is disclosed.

This draft does not establish that every category is collected. The final policy must identify the categories actually accessed or collected by the released application and its third-party software.

2. Purposes of processing

The proposed purposes of processing are to create and administer accounts; provide requested social features; display content to the audience selected for a feature; deliver service communications; respond to requests; investigate abuse and enforce community standards; maintain reliability; prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.

Any additional use, including advertising, recommendation systems, artificial intelligence processing, or creator payments, must be accurately disclosed before the relevant processing begins. Where required, a separate consent or other lawful authorization must be obtained.

3. Content visibility

Information you share is visible according to the audience controls and visibility settings of the applicable feature. Public contributions may be viewed, copied, or reshared by others. Messages sent to another person may be retained by that recipient. Avoid posting sensitive information you do not wish others to receive.

The final policy must reflect the application’s actual default visibility settings and any privacy controls available to users.

4. Disclosure of information

Information may be disclosed to the audience you choose; providers engaged to perform necessary functions for Velu; competent authorities where legally required or otherwise lawful; and recipients you authorize. A business transaction involving the Services may require limited disclosure subject to applicable confidentiality and privacy safeguards.

Service providers should receive only the information needed for their functions and be subject to appropriate contractual protections. The final policy must identify actual recipients or recipient categories, the purposes of disclosure, and any independent collection by integrated software.

5. Advertising and tracking

The application’s advertising, analytics, cookie, and tracking practices have not yet been verified for this draft. No statement in this draft should be read as a representation that Velu sells, shares, or does not sell or share personal information.

Before publication, the policy must describe the actual practices and any applicable consent, opt-out, or platform permission controls. Permission for tracking cannot be inferred solely from acceptance of general terms.

6. Device permissions

A feature that accesses your camera, microphone, photographs, contacts, location, or notifications must provide the appropriate explanation and request permission where required. You can manage device permissions in your operating system settings. Refusing permission may prevent the specific feature that needs it from working.

This draft does not confirm access to any particular permission, background activity, contact upload, or precise location information. Those practices must be reflected accurately in the final policy.

7. Retention

The proposed retention standard is to keep personal information only while reasonably necessary to provide the requested service or satisfy a lawful purpose. Relevant criteria include whether the account remains active, the nature of the information, any unresolved report or dispute, and applicable legal obligations.

Following deletion, information retained for a legal obligation, security investigation, fraud prevention, or legal claim must be limited to that purpose. The final policy must state the actual deletion schedule, backup expiry, and any exceptions. This draft does not promise an unverified completion period.

8. Request account and data deletion

To request deletion of your Velu account and associated personal information without reinstalling the application, email support@velu.com with the subject “Velu account deletion.” Use your registered email address and include your username if available. Do not send your password.

If you cannot access your registered email, contact the same address for assistance. A request may require reasonable verification of account ownership. The final deletion process must identify the data removed, any limited information retained and why, and the expected completion period.

Uninstalling the application or temporarily deactivating an account is not permanent deletion. An account deletion option must also be available within the application where required by the applicable store’s rules. That function and the email support workflow require verification before submission.

If you purchased a store-managed subscription, manage its cancellation through Apple or Google to avoid further charges.

9. Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Specific rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction, including under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

Send requests to support@velu.com. Requests should be verified proportionately and handled within the time required by applicable law. Where required, an authorized representative may act on your behalf, and a refusal must include the available appeal process. You may contact the authority responsible for enforcing the privacy law applicable to you.

10. Security and international processing

Personal information requires safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity and the risks involved in processing it. No transmission or storage system guarantees absolute security. The final policy must describe the measures actually in place, including protection in transit and controls on access.

U.S. legal framing does not establish that information is stored in the United States. The actual processing locations, cross-border disclosures, and any legally required transfer safeguards must be confirmed before publication.

11. Age restrictions

The proposed eligibility rule is that Velu is available only to people aged 18 or older. If you believe a person below that age has provided personal information, contact support@velu.com so the account can be investigated and appropriate action taken under applicable law. This age rule must match registration, marketing, and store disclosures.

12. Changes and contact

Updates should reflect the actual practices of the Services and include a revised date. Material changes require additional notice or consent where applicable law requires it.
